Is rowing suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! Our Rowing Fundamentals class is specifically designed for newcomers. Our experienced instructors will guide you through proper technique and form to ensure you get the most out of your workout safely and effectively. Rowing is effort based, so classes can be dialed up or down based upon your abilities.
How often should I attend rowing classes?
For best results, we recommend 3-4 classes per week, allowing for recovery days between sessions. Many members see significant improvements in strength, endurance, and body composition within 4-6 weeks of consistent training.
Is rowing low-impact?
Is it safe for my joints?
Rowing machines are considered low-impact exercise equipment, making them a joint-friendly option for people looking to stay active. Paula joined the Row House crew in August 2024 and transitioned over to The Crew Of Clearwater in January 2025 when Row House closed it doors.

Getting fit and healthy does not have to be difficult, but often times it is.
Why is that?
With so much conflicting and contradictory information out there it can be very frustrating and confusing to know what to do.
Guess what? You’re not alone.
At The Crew Of Clearwater we celebrate the fact that anyone can row! Our studio is inclusive to everyone.. the experienced athlete, the beginner…
everyone. The workout is effort based.
As an injured athlete, I can attest to the “everyone can row” verbiage.
About me:
I’m a Certified Personal Trainer. I have my 500 hr yoga cert. I’m Certified in Flexology.. Thai massage, percussion therapy, PNF, Spin Instruction, Parkinsons modality, Functional Movement, Essentric Loading and I taught Rock Steady Boxing and Kickboxing… I’ve been a rowing instructor for approximately 3 years now.
